The organization is seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to further strengthen its mission, expand its social impact, and ensure the institution's long-term financial and operational sustainability.

Job Summary
The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organization's strategy, operations, institutional development, and growth. This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors and the President to define the strategic vision and ensure the successful fulfillment of the organization's mission.
The Executive Director will oversee overall operations, manage programs and initiatives, cultivate relationships with donors and strategic partners, lead fundraising efforts, and serve as the organization's primary spokesperson within the community, government agencies, philanthropic organizations, and the private sector.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of executive leadership experience, organizational development expertise, financial management capabilities, fundraising success, and a strong commitment to the social and community development of Puerto Rico.Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the nonprofit organization's strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and program expansion.
• Foster an organizational culture focused on results, social impact, and operational excellence.
• Establish performance indicators and metrics to measure program effectiveness and impact.

Institutional and Operational Management

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise management and administrative teams, promoting professional development and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and legal requirements applicable to nonprofit organizations.
• Manage and monitor the organization's financial, technological, and human resources.

External Relations and Representation

• Serve as the principal spokesperson and ambassador for the organization.
• Strengthen partnerships with community organizations, academic institutions, government agencies, and private-sector leaders.
• Represent the organization at public events, forums, conferences, and other social impact initiatives.
• Position the organization as a leader in innovation and community development throughout Puerto Rico.

Financial Oversight and Governance

• Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and organizational accountability.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on financial performance, program outcomes, and strategic objectives.
• Oversee the development of annual budgets, audits, and financial compliance processes.
• Ensure transparency, fiscal responsibility, and sound stewardship of organizational resources.

Programmatic Impact

• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs and services.
• Ensure that initiatives effectively address the needs of the communities served.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across all programs and services.
• Measure, communicate, and report the social impact generated by the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in executive management or senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience within nonprofit organizations, foundations, educational institutions, or other mission-driven entities.
• Demonstrated success in institutional development, fundraising, and donor relations.
• Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico's philanthropic, nonprofit, and community development landscape.
• Experience working effectively with Boards of Directors and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Thorough understanding of nonprofit governance principles and best practices.

• Strong expertise in strategic planning and organizational management.
• Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and institutional sustainability.
• Familiarity with grant management, philanthropic programs, and fundraising strategies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
