Job Summary
The (People Business Partner) is responsible for strengthening the relationship between employees and managers with the Human Resources Department in order to achieve HR initiatives and best practices. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: organizational development, compensation and benefits, employment laws and practices, fostering a healthy work environment, analyzing HR policies and procedures, as well as HR analytics to determine their relevance to the company’s goals and values.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides support in succession planning and career development.
Conducts town hall meetings and resolves complex employee relations issues, including addressing complaints or grievances.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Serves as a subject matter expert in organizational and talent planning and execution.
Trains and coaches managers on human resources practices.
Supports initiatives related to equal opportunity, diversity, and organic growth.
Ensures that all procedures comply with legal regulations.
Analyzes the effectiveness of HR operations and policies.
Analyzes trends and metrics within the HR department.
Provides leadership support in learning, benefits, and compensation areas.
Offers guidance on performance management to the HR team and organizational leaders.
Manages all performance management reporting and audits.
Oversees the application of Goodwill’s standards of conduct, core values, guiding principles, code of ethics, and other employment guidelines related to progressive performance and discipline management.
Leads complex and sensitive employee relations issues, always aiming for conflict resolution.
Oversees unemployment benefit-related activities within the organization.
Partners with HR subject matter experts in compensation, total rewards, recruitment, and organizational learning to develop and implement best practices and monitors their application across the organization.
Uses advanced HR information systems to access and analyze data for reporting purposes based on business unit needs and uses relevant data to recommend solutions.
Oversees employee engagement activities and community relations programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Administration
- SHRM-CP certification or Equivalent (desirable)
- 6 years of relevant work experience, including HR experience, business partner or generalist experience with data, analysis, trends, reports and establishing HR strategies
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
- Bilingual
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established deadlines
- Logical thinker and good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Change Management mentality
- Metrics Oriented
- Able to coordinate and establish priorities
- Proficient in computer software such as: Word, Excel, Power point
