Facilities Supervisor

Job Summary
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing activities related to the preventive and corrective maintenance of the physical plant, ensuring that all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with internal and regulatory standards. This role supports the implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs, as well as continuous improvement initiatives within the facilities, contributing to operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities, equipment, and critical systems (electricity, plumbing, lighting, landscaping, refrigeration, HVAC, etc.).
- Coordinate and follow up on work performed by contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety and service policies and standards.
- Support the execution of improvement and remodeling projects within the facilities.
- Monitor the physical conditions of the warehouse and offices, identifying repair needs or improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements related to the physical plant.
- Maintain updated records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with the Manager in the implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs across the facilities.
- Participate in contingency and emergency response plans, ensuring the operability of the facilities.
- Design and develop preventive programs for the physical plant, ensuring effective and sustainable implementation.
- Report findings, risks, and maintenance needs to the Compliance and Facilities Manager.
- Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned based on employer needs.
- Availability to work on Saturdays as needed or for special projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Project Management, or related fields.
- Preferably three (3) or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, employee supervision, contractor oversight, and related projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, facility maintenance standards, and building codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
