Our client is one of the leading companies in Puerto Rico in the distribution of pharmaceutical, health, consumer, and veterinary products. They are seeking a Human Resources Generalist.

Job Summary

The (Human Resources Generalist) is responsible for strengthening the relationship between employees and managers with the Human Resources Department in order to achieve HR initiatives and best practices. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: organizational development, compensation and benefits, employment laws and practices, fostering a healthy work environment, analyzing HR policies and procedures, as well as HR analytics to determine their relevance to the company’s goals and values.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Direct support to the Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development in the development and implementation of various strategies, policies, and processes within the department and the company.
  • Effectively organize various planning tasks across different HR areas, focusing on accountability and results.
  • Support the follow-up with specialists on the Department’s work plan.
  • Assist with personnel management and administrative procedures.
  • Create training and development plans to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Develop strategies for key talent retention and succession planning.
  • Promote the organization’s mission, vision, and values through established initiatives.
  • Conduct employee engagement, work environment surveys, and develop action plans based on the results.
Education
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in generalist roles or equivalent (experience in at least 4 HR areas).
  • BA in Business Administration, Management, or Human Resources.
  • MBA in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
  • Availability to travel, if necessary, for ongoing projects.
  • General knowledge of HR functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of current labor laws.
  • Service-oriented attitude, teamwork, and results-driven.
  • Ability to solve problems in different work areas with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external clients.
  • Leadership capability.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze processes and interpret data or information.
  • Skills in mathematical calculations.
