Our client is one of the leading companies in Puerto Rico in the distribution of pharmaceutical, health, consumer, and veterinary products. They are seeking a Director of Institutional Sales

Job Summary

Professional work that consists of promoting and managing the sales of medicines and medical-surgical products directed to Hospitals (Medical Surgical and Medicines), Clinics, Veterinary, Medical and Specialized Pharmacies (Infusions, etc.)  Supervises telemarketing and sales personnel assigned to the Institutional Sales division, following the company's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Creates and develops commercial strategies aimed at the growth and evolution of the company's institutional market.  
  • Make presentations of the company to suppliers and customers. 
  • Receive suppliers and provide a tour of the facilities.  
  • Performs integration of new suppliers.
  • Negotiates with clients, contractors, GPO (Group Purchasing Order) and helps them to group.
  • Provides service to customers and collects, if necessary. 
  • Responsible for exports – contracting and sales outside PR.
  • Follow up on proposals.
  • Participate in conventions/client activities in and out of PR. 
  • Develops and proposes training actions aimed at the continuous improvement of the capabilities of the company's personnel in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
Education
  • Master's degree in Finance, Sales or Business Administration and five to ten years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Domain of Programs: Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge in Computers (skilled in management / medium-advanced transcription)
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English). Reading ability to write and speak in both languages at an advanced level.
  • Ability to read, analyze and translate general publications related to the business world, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
